Congratulations Chris; Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards for Favorite Athlete

Congratulations to Chris Tiu for winning the Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards 2008 for Favorite Athlete. Sorry if I wasnt able to come, though I've got a pretty good excuse for that, still. Anyway, congratulations once again and more power!

P.S
I really have a good excuse for that, want to hear?

Singing Frenzy; My Grandma Aunt's Birthday Bash

Finally got the time to blog some of my missed events due to some minor problems. Last November 13 we celebrated my Auntie Minerva's birthday at the Island songs KTV at Island Cove, Cavite (Geez, another redundancy of words) Anyway, as most of you know I love to sing but never in front of a crowd (ok so that was a bit exaggerating)Since it's my favorite aunt's birthday, I decided to go. The food was what thrilled me the most rather than the chance to sing.

The food was great. They serve fast and clean and the cocktails are just as great as I remembered it was from a long time ago (funny)

We also ordered some cakes in small sizes. It was really cute and very tasty indeed.

Here are some of our pictures during our stay.

Stay posted for my next entries about Thanks giving day and more of my leisure trips.

Subic Ocean Adventure; Ice Cream Indulgence

The answer on my last entry was Subic. Credits to Charles! (you we're there with us, ayt?)

So anyway, half the day we spent in there was in Subic Ocean Adventure. We watched (well they did) the dolphins play around and do some crazy stuffs. But the thing is, it stopped raining and the sun started glaring at us. Well, it's a covered area but then again, its still hot. I was thinking of getting out or eat some ice cold desserts when I noticed Chris munching something.

That was a great idea of course! Ice cream would do the trick. (and he's the only one munching on it!) You should see the look on his face when he told me how sweet it was (and he does not have a sweet tooth so I wondered)

Huh? it was watermelon and coconut ice cream? Oh for the love of God! Let him have it, I think I'll buy my own this ice cream.
By the time we got back at our seat, the show was over. Ok, at least I got my ice cream. I have to thank Chris for all this, and my group mates.
I think I need to get back to reality now. Feasibility again, finals in the next two weeks.
P.S
I'm really running late so beat you there! Stay posted for my next entries!

The Demise of my Story

Lying wont really get you anywhere. That's what I learned for this month of November (or so,) But in any case, I will remember it for quite a hefty amount of time. I went out together with my friends to a place I will reveal in time. It's really funny since I never told anyone about it, didn't ask for a permission from my family and even lied to some of my group mates just to be excused from our meeting. Anyway, here's the place.
It was raining that day but it was still quite a catch. I wasn't expecting that there would be people around since it isn't a season for you to be jumping into the sea. The color of the sea was gloomy but nevertheless it was breathtaking.

The food was what made me say yes for this trip. I know for one that we will be staying at our friends rest house but still, that would be something right?
After that sweet lunch and some heavy duty story telling, it was finally time to go home, and to my surprise, the deadline for my work was due tomorrow. It was changed and I don't have the slightest clue.
O well, so much for not telling the truth, it was karma I suppose. But then again, to regret is not my thing so I'd rather enjoy things and be responsible for the consequences later on.

P.S

Guess where I was and I'll definitely give credit for that. That's it for now!

Cake Mania and a Sofa of Teddy Bears!

This is indeed a tough week for me. I took an exam without even knowing what it was about. I, for one, knows my future in that certain subject and how I wish for a great miracle to happen. Anyway, since I wasn't been able to answer my exam last Friday, I went to Rockwell again together with Chris and the group. Out of pure luck, a cake making competition was held there and it was time to place their cakes both for taking pictures and for tasting it (we get to rate it as well!).

This cake reminds me so much of my childhood since I use to eat this kind of cakes during my birthday (not with this kind of design but with the very same taste)

This cake for me was the most exquisite both in taste and in appearance. I have never seen a cake like this before and its taste was mild but soothing.

Here's the shot of the other cake designs I was able to take.

We were downright full! That day was really something to remember, but what I would remember the most about that day would be this sofa made from a bunch of teddy's!

P.S

You cant sit on it and it's definitely not for sale. Till my next post! Enjoy!

The Art of Appreciating Art

There are a lot of talented individuals who can showcase their abilities in a variety of ways. I love art in a manner of doing it on my own but in the sense of appreciating it as it is would mean another story. One should look at art in several angles to know its real essence. Well, that was the painter who told me those lines when I visited an exhibit of great paintings and painters at Rockwell. To tell you honestly, I got bored, so I took a picture of the art that really made me realize one thing,

I hate insects!

P.S

Well, that's it, stay posted for an entry about my recent cake making competition trip and a whole bunch of teddy's.

A Date at the Highlands; The Freezing Moment

Last Wednesday, November 5, 2008. After my class, we went to Tagaytay for a road trip. I didn't bother telling anyone about it since I know I wouldn't be permitted to go anyway. Besides, I got home by 10:30 so I guess it's ok. It's just a last minute idea when we're about to go home. By the time we got there, we took our separate ways, so Klau and I tried to find a decent fine dining experience while we we're there. We ended up in a steak house (I think it was named as such if I am not mistaken)

The food and ambiance is great. The music is soothing and the place is, well, great. We ordered Garlic Mushroom and Chicken with Flakes. I love the way it was cooked and the aroma was like no other.

The cocktails are of great deals as well. So for an amount of 750 Php, you're already set for a romantic date bagged with great experiences at the highlands of Tagaytay. Definitely a nice fine dining experience.

Home Cuisines; A Lunch out with the guys

What's nice about having friends who would invite you out of nothing at all is the food that you're about to savor along the cool stuffs you could talk about. I don't know with your friends but with my friends, it is something you could experience often. The last time I have been in Chris' crib was like 2 months ago, but this time it's different. All their helpers were given a holiday vacation (for all souls day) leaving us with no choice but to cook for ourselves (now I know why he invited us over!)

I am craving for pasta so that's what I made. I saw it once on TV and I really love experimenting with the way I cook. The outcome? Of course its great.

Ingredients? nah, that's top secret! We ended up having the greatest dish for all souls day! Definitely, a food for the soul.

So, we'll be eating for now since I have an online meeting with my Feasibility Project and Design Group later. I wasn't been able to go to church this morning so I'll be attending a mass by 4:30 pm.
Enjoy your day and enjoy your meal!

Glass House; Dreaming on my own

I was waiting for the day when I could blog about this house that I saw at Makati. (And I hope the owner won’t come across my blog) I finally got the pictures from Charles. I won’t tell you the details about the place since it’s really not mine to tell. The reason I was so in to this structure was the details that you could see on every corner. Pity that I could only do one shot since there we’re people around and Charles got annoyed by the fact that I look like a stalker myself (Geez, at midday?). So here’s the picture and if you are the owner of the house, send me a mail if I have offended you at any point or manner (I highly doubt that).

P.S
Chris Tiu was nominated for the Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards for favorite athlete. He was nominated alongside Manny Pacquiao and Efren “Bata” Reyes. Here's how to vote: Voting is only until November 15.

The rise of the fallen Grace ; HS reunion

Happy Halloween everyone! Ok, so its already November 1 and while everybody else is busy telling their own versions of spook tales, I guess I'll just blog my way out of this spook fest. But I guess lets save that for my next entry. Last October 30, 2008 (Thursday) I attended a reunion with my H.S friends (really now?) Although there we're just 4 of us since the other two are quite busy and the other one has gone missing, still we we're able to pull through. Since it was too early to head out for a night life, Grace and I decided to have a stroll at the mall, eat and do some chit chat (as she fondly calls it that way) As the night draws near and Jewel has already arrived, we went back to our cribs and tried to find a place where we can unwind easily as we sit back and enjoy reminiscing our HS days. When Chelyne arrived we headed to Starbucks Las-piƱas since its the nearest place to beat ourselves with stories.

I really don't like to fill myself with coffee during late hours since it keeps me awake up until 5 in the morning and that is not interesting! But still, I did order for an Espresso and yes, Frappe (very unhealthy, I know!)

I have always been addicted to coffee ever since I was a child and if you could only imagine how many cups would I savor within a day, you'll be surprised. But that was before, I'm stopping myself now (yes I really am!)

A fan of Starbucks? Yes I am, but I would go for fruit juices and delicacies now rather than a cup of coffee.

I guess that's it for now, more of my "leisure trips" on my next entries.
